| The
California Scholarship Federation represents and
helps Balboa honor students to develop their educational opportunities,
for the requirements to belong to the federation are an "A" average. The Fall '64 officers were: President, Janice Ide; Vice President, Cynthia George; Secretary, Linda Thornton; Treasurer, Linda Baxter; Historian, Diane DiTrapini; Co-ordinator, Anita Escandor. The sponsor of the club is Miss Aced. At the beginning of every term, the C-S.F, has an installation ceremony, where parents and faculty members ore invited to attend. The new officers are installed and life memberships are presented to the members who have earned them. At the end of the term, the C.S.F. gives a tea. They invite members of the faculty and the S.A. president and Vice President to join in the activity. This year other activities include plans to send a delegate to a Salinas convention, a bicycle excursion with the Silver Seals and a picnic with the language clubs. Being in the C.S.F, is not only fun and enjoyable, it is also a great honor and tribute. The members give up much Of their free time to help fellow students in their subject matter. Since the federation contains the brains of Bal, there will be many future leaders formed out of the organization and tt is good to know that they love done their part to help make Bal the great school it is.. |
