Juniors In February 1963, a little more than 200 new sophomores came to Balboa as the class of Fall 1965. Being a small class, they were slow in getting organized. As low-tens, they were honored by the Hello Day Dance on Friday, February 29, 1 963. During that term they had 78.6 per cent of their class in the Student Association. When Fall 1963 and football season came around, as high-tens they selected Patrica Rollins as class football queen. The high-ten officers were president, Judy Gaerleen; vice-president, Linda Allegrini; secretary, Shirley Rogers; and treasurer, Linda Massagli. During that term, the officers planned a car wash, but still being a young class without proper organization, the car wash was never held. By attending football games and rallies they built up their class spirit. As a new term come, the class of Fall 1965 became low- elevens in Spring 1964. The low-elevens' officers were presi- dent, Richard Voipe; vice-president. Gale Zamagni; secre- tary, Rose Pacumio; and treasurer, Paulette Hunter. This time another cor wash was planned, and they had it. Only something else went wrong — it was a rainy day! At the S. A. Carnival, the low-elevens sponsored two booths, a tetter- totter and a balloon shave. The Juniors didn't get to have a Junior Prom that year due to a ruling by the Board of Education. Fall 1964 became a spirit-filled, very active term for the now high-elevens. On October 24, 1 964, the high juniors had a hat day to promote class spirit and show the rest of the school who the high juniors were. The officers, president, Jean Shiller; vice president, Charlene Shuey; secretary, Shirley Rogers; and treasurer. Rose Pacumio, organized a car wash. This time they had everything they could wish for. The beautiful sunshine was only an asset to the near $100 that was made between water fights washing the cars that rolled in. It was football season again, and class queen was Barbara Sutton. On December 11, 1964, the whole Junior class held the Junior Exclusive, "Christmas Dreamland."
