| It is usually thought that sophomores
don't have much spirit, but our class proved this theory wrong. On February 3, 1964 the Fall Class of '66 entered Balboa and was determined to show off its enthusiasm for Bal. Our first class activity was our H-10 Car Wash. We really worked hard and we proved successful by making more money then any class ever had on a car wash. Another first occurred when we won the Spirit Trophy as tenth graders. Then came our junior year with a very successful Junior Prom. The St. Francis Hotel provided the perfect atmosphere. Again in the L-11 we showed our class spirit by winning the Spirit Trophy. As the year progressed we again stepped out for another exciting night at our Junior Exclusive, held on the stage in Bal's auditorium. As a class we, also, participated in Clash Day. We moved into our Senior year with high hopes. As low seniors we presented the out-going High Seniors with the Aloha Day Dance; here again our class gained in assets for we sold leis for this dance. Our Senior Picnic was next. Held on September 29, 1966 at Turtle Rock Ranch the High Senior Class of Fall '66 we enjoyed overwhelmingly all the activities. At the only indoor, one-sectional, rally all semester, the Senior Class again turned out in full force. The customary competition yell was performed and again our class, although small in number, won the Spirit Trophy. When we left Balboa, we took with us many happy memories and hoped that we left a good image of our class to Balboa. |
