| CREDITS — APPRECIATION — GRATITUDE Of all the many reasons for which we are thankful to the Balboa community, the biggest is the size of our list of benefactors. It is part of the joy of working at this school that so many are always willing to give of their time and talents in helping us to complete our annual project. This year we shall thank those who helped with the historical section within that section, and here acknowledge our gratitude to those who contributed to the regular 1977-78 portion of this book. The selection of an Editor and Staff is one of the critical decisions which vitally affect the nature and content of any yearbook, and obviously molding many personalities into a working team is the important task of the Editor and the Advisor. Your Editor-in-Chief, Frances Marshall, joins a long retinue of previous successful and competent editors, and has brought us a unique warmth and dedication which has seen us through triumph and tragedy alike. Her faith in her- self and this book has shone like a beacon through our darkest hours, and she has given us the determination to see it through to completion. All of us deeply mourn the loss of Larry MIZERA, our Sports Editor, at semester break, and we are truly grateful to his sister, DeAnne, and Steve ELLIOTT, who have helped finish the job which Larry had so well begun. Steve also has been a wonderfully adept photographer, who has never complained about "emergency photo orders" or about having to crop and lay out much of his own work. With the never-falling co-operation of Bosco Studio and the special contributions of Elaine DELGADO (Sp'76) and the support of Mr. Nick KAFKAS and Mrs. Emily Powell SUMRALL (F'46) of the Alumni Association added to the support of Mrs. Florence Rawson COHEN, Principal, and Mr. Andrew GEE, School Accountant, we have delivered to Mr. Tom WALKER of Taylor Publishing Company a GALLEON of unusual size, scope, and quality. Speaking for the entire Staff from the bottom of our heart, WE THANK YOU, WE APPRECIATE YOU, WE LOVE YOU for helping us show what Balboa is all about!!! SPECIAL BENEFACTORS
