Whenever we attempt to compile our list-of obligations incurred in producing yet another Balboa GALLEON, we never fail to be impressed with the extent and range of talents which we have had to collect in order to accomplish our task. In childhood, we often heard people say "Thanks until you're better paid!" — an expression which implied that gratitude was somehow inadequate as a sign of appreciation. Financial recompense, we feel, is a just and sufficient reward for services rendered under contract or by agreement, but very many people who come into contact with our yearbooks give far more than usual and customary service. They go far out of their way to accommodate our very special needs and requirements, and it is just that special and very highly prized EXTRA EFFORT which we need to recognize here publicly and let it again be known that we do not ever take it for granted.
