THE CO-EDITORS' FAREWELL

As this yearbook nears completion, I want to say "thank you" to
those people on the Yearbook Staff who came through for us in
helping to finish the job. I also want to thank DeDe. The work and
decision-making that usually comes with one editor was shared by
two, which put a little less strain and pressure on both of us.

Our Advisor, Mr. Larsen, deserves a lot more than "thank you."
He has put so much work into this yearbook. Nothing could stop
him. He was determined to finish the job. I realized that if we
could just stick with it, the book would happen, and it did. We
could not let all the work we put in be wasted on nothing. We had
to have this yearbook finished to show for all we have done. We
hope you will appreciate it.

"New Branches On Old Roots" is the theme for the yearbook.
That's how to describe this year. The majority of people at Balboa
this year are new. They weren't familiar with the spirit and tradi-
tions that we have. Most of them have learned quickly what it takes to become a Balboan. They seem to fit in. It couldn't have happened without the help of people who were already familiar with Bal. We showed our spirit and kept the traditions going, even after everything Bal has been through during the past few years.

The old will have to keep passing on to the new the roots, the long established traditions. If we don't, they will be forgotten.

BALBOA — ALWAYS REMEMBERED!
