| Bal Tramples Mission, 62-12 1968 --Record Score by AAA Club Balboa football coach Archie Chagonjian used players whose names he wasn't even sure of yesterday, but nothing could hold back the Bucs as Calvin Jones scored five times en route to a 62-12 win over visiting Mission High. It was easily Bal's most convincing win ever and according to league historian Elwood Lang, was the most points ever scored by an AAA team. ...Jones, the 1967 AAA Back of the Year, upped his league leading interception total to six in four games wiht two in this one. He has grabbed 18 interceptions in 15 games starting with last season. |
