Arroyo High School is located in San Lorenzo, California, and is part of the San Lorenzo Unified School District. Serving as one of two public high school for San Lorenzo and parts of San Leandro, its sister high school and the schools rival is San Lorenzo High School. Arroyo High School enrolls students from throughout the San Lorenzo Unified School District. Program offerings include a wide variety of curricular options for students, such as two State Partnership Academies (both of which formed Small Learning Communities), Advanced Placement and honors courses, Specially Designed Instruction for English Learners, collaborative Special Education settings, visual and performing arts classes, and other electives. There will also be two additional Small Learning Communities beginning in the Fall of 2007.
The mission of Arroyo High School is to provide an environment in which all students will acquire the necessary skills to become responsible thinkers who appreciate diversity and are productive citizens in the local, national, and global community.
