Yosemite Jan 10th 2005

Snow and Rain couldn't keep my favorite
birthday girl
from the beautiful waterfalls or her birthday meal at the Awahnee Hotel in Mother Nature'S finest work in El Capitan in Yosemite Valley.

In the middle of winter, in the middle of a bridge, in the middle of Yosemite I present a
Happy Birthday Tune but not until my trumpet was warmed up a bit.

Now I had to try to prove an old myth about sound.
Will sound travel through a waterfall?
Check It Out!

A quick hike over to Curry Village for a photo op HERE and THERE aiming back at Yosemite Falls.

After hiking in the snow she probably was thinking about being in her nice warm home with Loved ones and a birthday cake. or maybe she wishes she was at Santa Cruz at the beach in her swimsuit.

Now up the tunnel going to badger pass which is closed today and leaving the valley devoid of the winter skiing crowds. Looking back from the tunnel.

Well its a good thing I had my trumpet as Ranger Rick got snowed out of the valley and I had the opportunity at the Yosemite Lodge to perform on stage to a near capacity crowd.

Before we left Ranger Bob asked me to go over to the bottom of the falls to play some bugle calls to get rid of a pack of coyotes that were blocking the trail.
