"Singer of the Year award, Barbie! Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could get it?" says Diva one day in the New York Office of Barbie and The Rockers. "It would be nice," answers Barbie, "but right now we have to think about getting ready for our World Concert Tour. We're flying to Paris next week!" And The Rockers and their manager Ken start a flurry of shopping, packing, interviews . . . and soon they're winging their way over the Atlantic. Barbie doesn't have time to think about the award as The Rockers perform and sightsee throughout Europe. They visit palaces and have a romantic ride on a gondola in Venice. Then it's off to Japan where Derek has a good time learning some classical Japanese dances. Finally there's one last concert in Hawaii and some beachcombing fun before The Rockers fly home to Los Angeles. Diva tries flying with a parachute behind a speedboat. But while she's up in the air, a cable snaps and she falls to the shore. The Doctor's verdict—a broken leg! "Oh, Barbie," cries Diva. "I'm afraid I won't be able to perform .on award night.
