It all started when Jed Clampett shot at a possum and his bullet struck oil. Money rolled in like relatives in watermelon season and his kinfolks told him, "Move out to Californy whar they's movie stars, swimmin' pools, and people live in big mansions." So Jed piled Into his old dilapidated truck with his pretty young daughter, Elly May, his slightly stupid nephew, Jethro, his hunting dog. Duke, and Granny. Wide-eyed and rubber-necked they drove right across the country to Beverly Hills. "Bein' millionaires won't hurt the Clampetts none 'cause they ain't fer puttin' on airs," Jed Clampett observed. And Jed was exactly right. The Clampetts lived in their Beverly Hills mansion just the same as they had back home. Of course, the' problems were "a mite" different. Like the time Elly May was enrolled into a fashionable girl's finishing school . . .
